Consists of five series: 1) Correspondence, 1943-1948, contains both incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters to family and professional colleagues. This series is arranged chronologically. 2) Date books, one per year, 1972-1996, listing Kaser's appointments, classes, and meetings. 3) Publications, 1955-1997, arranged chronologically and contains copies of his books, journal articles, and reports, primarily dealing with the history of the development of American libraries, academic library administration, and the design and construction of library buildings. 4) Biographical and personal information, 1933-1997, includes his resume, a list of his publications, and information on his consulting activities. 5) Teaching records, 1987-n.d., contains VHS recordings of two courses which Kaser taught. The tapes are grouped by course number.
